A new book needs new thinking

When Nicky decided to write a new book nearly three years ago she wrote a few hundred words, and then got stuck. Try as she might she couldn’t ‘get’ the feel of the book. She knew she wanted to help people, and knew the content would be inspirational and full of techniques, but it all felt a bit, well, vanilla!

This could be another self help book, full of information and tips, but with Amazon churning out thousands of new titles every week was there a need for that? How many people, Nicky included, have books on their shelf that would be a ‘nice’ read? There wasn’t a real pull to read them, maybe they looked pretty and the title made a promise, but no real sizzle.

South America calling…

It was during a trip to South America, during a meditation, that Nicky got the real kick from the universe to write the damned book! Shortly after she thought up a new title, ran it past an author she fully admires who loved it – and…still it didn’t get finished!

Within two weeks Nicky was in surgery. She recovered just in time for Christmas and then waded in to help her parents close their business and her daughter to relocate to Ireland. Two weeks later she was in hospital again and a new, life changing condition diagnosed. Nicky is no stranger to a curve ball and is known as The Queen of Bounce, so once again she focused her energy on health – and BounceBackAbility!

And here it was, the perfect time to write the damned book! She had reaffirmed that what she had learned worked. She knew that there are so many people out there squeezed between older parents and children, work and life, trying to do what they can and ‘live their best life’ as Insta encourages. Sometimes it’s just too hard to do without a bit of help, or at least a blueprint.

And there are so many shiny ways that may not get you to your destination!

Your destination awaits

On every corner there is a new trend, a new coach and a new course to buy. In every store there is a ‘fix this quick’ remedy perfect for the worn down soul who has beaten themselves up about not being ‘enough’. Tune into our media, or scroll through socials, and you will see pressure, as well as smoke and mirrors to lead you around in ever decreasing circles.

How can you wade through the noise and actually make a change? By saving yourself.

No-One is coming to save you

No One Is Coming To Save You…And Why That’s A Good Thing is a new book which is full of real examples when Nicky saved herself, as well as vulnerable sharing of times when she got it wrong. There is a formula, should you wish to follow it, to enable you to really connect with yourself and understand what you need in your life. You can read in order, or dip in and out of chapters –you decide!

Is Nicky a guru?

Is Nicky a guru? Abso-bloody-well-lutely not! She does make up words, she may make you laugh and she could make you cry. After thirty odd years of personal development and spiritual learning she may know a thing or too though, oh yes and she does swear a bit.

Nicky says, “I hope this book becomes a companion, to challenge your own thinking, to get
clear on what it is you ACTUALLY want, and then to start to tweak your life…until one day
you realise you are smiling, for seemingly no reason at all.”
